Hey there! Yes, I know you are going to jump to my photos first. It’s okay, I’ll wait…
(…dum dee dum dee dum…do di do di do…)
...You’re back? Great, I didn’t frighten you off then. If my resemblance to Brad Pitt wasn’t enough to make you jump into messaging me, I should probably tell you some more wonderful things about myself!
Let’s begin with a little trip down memory lane:
I’ve been following the path of a cartoonist and artist since I was a little kid, grade 2 to be exact. I even built my own drawing table out of two by fours and put it in the living room much to my mother’s chagrin, but to her credit she bit her tongue and let me set up shop. Don’t worry, if I make something for you I won’t use two by fours.
I’m multi-faceted. A geek who studied fine art in university. I am at home discussing the sensuality of a Tom Thompson painting or the subtle beauty of a Rothko. Art talks to my soul, from Picasso to Peanuts, if you let it they can mesmerize and awaken something deep inside you. I won’t drag you to a gallery, but I’d be happy if you came along and we could share that experience. I am also equally at home sharing my favourite Three Stooges’ moments. C’mon, you can admit to liking them, I won’t tell anyone ;)
I work with kids during the day. My children are now grown, and I couldn’t be prouder of them, so it’s very fulfilling teaching various classes to younger ones. Their enthusiasm and curiosity is inspiring. In my free time, I have several webcomics and I’m in the process of starting a publishing company. One that specializes in providing children’s picturebooks for families outside societies norms. I still like to create more traditional forms of art. I won’t ask you to pose nude for me but if you offer… then again, maybe I will ask, but not on the first date. I swear.
I live my life by a simple philosophy of respect and compassion. We are all one, interconnected and entwined. That has lead me to a path of veganism. I cannot be part of a system of suffering, exploitation, and death for a snack. I’ve decided to date only vegans. I know this will seriously limit my dating possibilities but I have to be true to my convictions.
This extends into my personal life as well. Showing respect to the people in my life can show up as chivalry and affection. I hope you like being romanced! Don’t be surprised if I start dancing with you in the grocery store if a great song comes on. Serving the people in my life is not a weakness it’s an honour. Although I will expect some token of appreciation in return. I’ll leave that up to you ;)
I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m not much into sports. I will watch the Leafs if they make the playoffs…so I never watch, heh, heh. I prefer to spend my Saturdays exploring out of the way local places, hidden gems, and surprising discoveries. From unique shops to a seldom visited waterfall to a music festival. All the better to explore while holding my girl’s hand. My Sundays tend to be quieter. Maybe curled up on the couch watching a movie, or reading, with a special someone cuddled up with me.
If that’s the type of weekend you enjoy, if you don’t mind a guy who takes you by the hand and leads you on an adventure, and if you can handle someone being openly affectionate, we should talk. Looking forward to your message.
