I am born in the year of the wood snake(1965) and I am of Irish descent, so that explain my POF name.

I enjoy snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, sailing/boating, hiking,,biking, YOGA, sunsets, DANCING, great live music, LONG WALKS AND TALKS,hanging out with small groups of friends, foreign films,,TROPICAL LOCALES, social change.

I am into annual long tropical vacations and eventual relocation to a warm climate with a loved one. I have been taking long tropical vacations for 14 years now. I firmly believe in NO WINTER. I love feeling hot air all day long and frequent ocean dips and snorkels :)

I wish to meet someone who enjoys laughing, eccentric intelligent people and has a well-developed quirky sense of humour. Someone who likes to travel, enjoys nature and engaging all SIX of their senses. Someone who enjoy the sensual side of life and enjoys exercise like yoga,walking,biking,etc.

I like colour in life and people. I am always wearing colour. No Gray for me.

I am celebrating 25 years as a Vegan in 2013. I love big salads especially with my own homemade dressing,avocados, watermelons and mangoes and mango smoothies,etc.etc.etc. I am at home in any kitchen and prefer making my own meals from fresh vegetables fruits and herbs. I love whipping up meals for my friends or lover:) Preparing a meal together can be can be one long sensual affair....YUM.

I like relationships that is based on truth, kindness, and mutual respect.I have always been interested in the area of communication. I am interested in using more and more non-violent communication as espoused by Marshall Rosenberg and others. I am looking for someone who likes to work through disagreements with respect and love and is willing to take responsibility for their part in issues that come up. True intimate relationship happens, I believe, when two people commit to growing together overcoming past patterns and fears.I firmly believe positive attitudes and actions lead to positive results.

I have an independent nature. I like people who are independent yet vulnerable. I think it is good for people to spend time together and apart.

I know realistically all relationships start out as dating. I am a Taurus so I am not expecting that we will get married, win the lottery, move to the tropics all in one day,week,month,year. I think it is funny that some people can think that just because one meets in person that suddenly there is this relationship happening. Real relating takes time.

Real relationships start with a seed and if all the other factors necessary are there then an intimate relationship may blossom. Or perhaps we will just be friends.

I believe that kindness and sharing and caring are the keys to a good life and society. My goal in life is to continue to become a kinder sharing caring human being.
